April 13 – Update from Mike Dawson Family

Mission Padamo/ April 19, 2013/ News/ 1 comments

As I wake up with the morning of each day that passes by,
And I listen to the sounds upon my ear; I can’t help but keep a watch toward the eastern sky, And I wonder if the trumpet will be the next sound that I hear.
Oh my earthly disappointments and trials here below, Fade away when I remember His last words; He said He’d return and receive His children unto Him, And I’m longing just to look upon the face of my Lord.

What a beautiful day for the Lord to come again, What a beautiful day for Him to take His children home; How I long to see His face and to touch His nail-scarred hands,
What a beautiful day for the Lord to come again.
–The Happy Goodmans

For the last 7 years, each year has progressively gotten more difficult, especially regarding availability of food and fuel, which makes it almost impossible for us to do the work that we feel God has left us here to do, but at the same time, as we look back, we are in awe at how God’s provision has been sure and how HE continues to provide us a table in the wilderness. “Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.” Psalms 23:5
I know I have mentioned HIS provisions in other updates, but it is so incredible how in spite of all the opposition we have been able to continue to function. We know it is not us, but it is God’s faithfulness! How beautiful to be living this miracle! Thanks for your part in this as you so faithfully pray and support this work through your sacrificial gifts!
Now, tomorrow as Venezuela heads to the polls, we ask everyone to join us in prayer for this country. Pray that all attempts at fraud, and there are going to be many, would come to naught. Pray that the people would not allow the threats to frighten them, but would vote their conscience. In the meantime, I leave you with some verses that have and continue to encourage us.

Pslams 37:3-7 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shall you dwell in the land, and verily you shall be fed. Delight yourself also in the LORD; and he shall give you the desires of your heart. Commit your way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday.Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not yourself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who brings wicked devices to pass.

Signed,

Michael, Keila and Mia Dawson
